I was indisposed for the past few days. It was torture at it’s finest. I had clogged nose, colds, cough, migraine, asthma attacks and the likes. There was one day I thought I can make it so I went with The Hubsy to Newport. I only lasted 2 hours before I passed out. (just my luck!)
Here’s what transpired for those 2 hours:
The Breakers is the grandest of Newport’s summer “cottages” and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family’s social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. (source: newportmansions.org)
I LOVE this gate. It looks like scorpions climbing to the top.
I took a photo of the painting they are selling at the souvenir shop.
The gate itself symbolizes opulence.
The Breakers is the grandest of all Mansions.
During Summer there are gazillion people who visit the mansions in Newport. Those are the times that I do not want to go. I’m anti-social that way! He he he!
Seriously, I seldom go to places that are flocked by people because I love the camera for myself. I’m selfish like that! He he he!
Okay, so I’m still sick and you really can’t squeeze any seriousness in me right now. My head is splitting and I am not just in pain. I am PAIN. Personified.
