“Silence is a source of great strength.” (Lao Tzu)
One of the things I love about Rhode Island in one word, Mansions. I love (love love) The Newport Mansions. I have blogged about it and took a lot of photos. It was only this year that they allowed cameras (without flash) inside the Mansions. A few years back, when I first visited they only allowed cameras on the (exterior) premises.
Here are some photos I compiled during my previous visits:
I am encouraging everyone with long hair to donate to LOCKS OF LOVE and put a smile to young kids.
I love (love love) this statue and I cant stop mself to be goofy…
My photographer aka The Hubsy decided to be as goofy as me.
Love the flowers that grows from their garden.
2015, The Salazar’s visited The Lil Rhody. I was just fresh from my Philippines’ vacation and still has a few days off from work so I brought them to Newport.
What is Newport without its Mansions? I have one word. Boring! That’s probably because I am obsessed with it, hence the bias. I must admit, there are gazillion things to do in Newport setting the Mansions aside. But I will never tire of staring at luxury at its finest during the Gilded Age.
Notice the short hair? That was the most that I can go short. Sorry, I need to have my hair on a pony tail at work. Plus the fact that I cant pull a short hair….
Don’t ask, it’s a long story… (promise to tell next time!)
With The Salazar’s from Toronto
FACT: They filmed The Great Gatsby (Robert Redford, not Leonardo DiCaprio) and 27 Dresses here. Aside from Amistad and True Lies.
Thank you to all to all of you who read my personal blog. I hope to share more photos of The Lil Rhody next time. I’m hoping every Tuesday I will have something to show you. I just need a little organizing in my life right now.
Here’s to hoping!
Keep smiling everyone! Xx
