“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” (Arnold Schwarzenegger)
A few years ago, I dragged The Hubsy and decided to randomly look for Things to do in Newport. I used to work for almost 2 years (in a Newport downtown hotel) and when you work in the Hospitality Industry you need to have an answer to almost every question within bounds. One thing you must be well-versed with is the “Tourist Attractions.”
And since I am always in awe of Newport’s Opulence (especially during The Gilded Age) I decided to blog about them:

Chateau Sur-Mer was the first of the Grand Mansions in Newport during the Gilded Age. If you have never been to one of the Mansions here in Rhode Island (and if you are on a tight schedule) but still would like to experience the luxurious “Newport”, I would suggest you start with Chateau Sur-Mer:

A few years back all mansions restrict cameras of all sorts. This year, they lifted that ban and decided to open their doors to modern people. With the fast-paced life of the millennials, who constantly flicker and toys with their gadgets, it is only with SHARING (through SocMed) that they can invoke curiosity.
And because DLSR’s are still not allowed inside, here are some photos taken through my iPad/iPhone SE (btw, you cannot use flash, tripods and selfie sticks):
The Hubsy and I are members of The Preservation Society of Newport County for 3 years now. I think it is just appropriate for us to become one because:
(1.) We Love (love. love.love) The Mansions of Newport
(2.) We believe that The Mansions must (by all means) be preserved
(3.) Every year, we have gazillion friends and family members who visits and their Membership rate is absolutely AMAZING!
(with my official photographer aka The Hubsy)
TIP: If you have never been to any of the Mansions, I would suggest for you to start with Chateau Sur-Mer. I know you would like to visit the (bigger) Mansions but if you start with The Breakers (the grandest) everything will fall short and you will end up comparing or worse, be bored!
NB: Thank you for the nice comments I received about my blog. If you are interested with a collab please do not hesitate to email me at: email@example.com
Keep smiling! Xx
